Surfaces
Worktops, desks, floors, door handles and equipment receive UV-C light, which damages the DNA or RNA of viruses, bacteria and moulds and prevents them from replicating. Ideal for washrooms, kitchens, meeting rooms and processing areas.

Air
The UV-C X50 bar continuously disinfects airborne particles. As it has no sensor, it is used in unoccupied spaces or installed at height, with the beam pointed away from people. It is equivalent to renewing the air several times per hour, with no ozone.
Is your space a laboratory?
Laboratories need more UV-C power
The germicidal band runs from 200 to 280 nm, but not all of it performs equally: the DNA of viruses, bacteria and moulds absorbs the most radiation at around 265 nm. That is where UV-Life UV-C LEDs emit. Mercury germicidal tubes operate at 254 nm, outside that peak, and lose around 30% of germicidal efficiency: on top of the wavelength mismatch comes tube wear, which gradually reduces output in a way that is hard to detect by eye.
Power also defines cycle time: the more milliwatts, the fewer minutes of exposure for the same dose. With the more powerful UV-C X50 bar and X36 UV-C LED light, a laboratory can disinfect its critical areas more often during the working day and with greater effectiveness per cycle.

Models with a 5.8G sensor (UVC Block) switch off the UV-C light when people are present, for safe use with people in the room. Disinfection-only devices (X36 and X50) are more powerful, have no sensor and must be operated in unoccupied spaces or installed at height with the beam pointed away from people, as per their manual.
